How to maintain and clean KOO’s photochromic lens
The anti-fog photochromic lens requires special care and washing due to its hygroscopic properties and its high-water absorption capabilities. The following steps are necessary for normal cleaning of the lens:
- Wipe the lens with a dry microfibre cloth;
- Wash the lens, using pure alcohol or running water with the addition of neutral soap;
- Dry immediately with a soft cloth, preferably microfibre or cotton.
Absolutely avoid using aggressive cleaning sprays on the inner anti-fog layer. If any marks remain on the lens, this is due to water absorption and is considered normal. To restore the lens to its normal condition and remove these marks, allow the lens to dry in the open air; wipe the entire inside surface of the lens with plenty of neutral soap (without water) until a light lather is obtained; rinse with running water; dry immediately with a soft cloth or air dryer.
